Job Title: Septic Truck Operator
Hours: 40-50 Hours Per Week
Reports To: Operations Manager (Harold Case Jr)
Purpose: Operate septic pump trucks, maintain equipment, perform septic services, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Duties:
- Septic Services: Pump and maintain residential and commercial septic systems, inspect for issues, and dispose of waste per regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip truck inspections, perform basic maintenance, and report issues.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, addressing questions and concerns.
- Recordkeeping: Log services, work orders, and waste disposal accurately.
- Safety: Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and handle physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Additional Tasks: Assist with route planning, attend training, and handle on-call shifts as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class B with tanker endorsement.
- 1-2 years operating septic trucks or heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of septic systems and waste disposal regulations.
- Strong mechanical, communication, and customer service skills.
- Clean driving record, ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with GPS/route management tools.
- Knowledge of local regulations.
Work Environment: Outdoor work in various weather conditions, with exposure to odors and chemicals. Flexible hours, including weekends/evenings and on-call shifts.
